We Dare You to Care!
When you support CCD Foundation events, you are joining the fight against the number 2 killer in the United States and around the world, “CANCER.”
Cancer has a major impact on society in the United States. According to The National Cancer Institute, one out of every two people in the United States will die from cancer.
In 2016, an estimated 1,685,210 new cancer cases were diagnosed in the United States and 595,690 died from this disease.
According to The American Diabetes Association, Diabetes Is as Invisible, as it Is Deadly. Every 21 seconds someone is diagnosed with diabetes. Diabetes doubles the risk of heart attack, or stroke and can cause kidney failure, blindness, and lower limb amputation.
Research and education has dramatically decreased diabetes-related complications. In the U.S., diabetes is one of the leading causes of death.
CCD Foundation events educate and stimulate awareness to improve the lives of event attendees and people living with diabetes. CCD Foundation events are open to the general public to access vital information and answers for, “What is Cancer?” What is Diabetes?” Our work strongly promotes preventative measures, such as, “GET TESTED,” healthy diet, for healthy life styles. We provide information resources about known signs and symptoms of cancer and diabetes for early detection and innovative treatment, to preserves life. You can live longer with the disease controlled, while research continues for a cure.
